What is an ignition interlock device (IID)?

An ignition interlock device is a breathalyzer installed in your vehicle that measures the level of alcohol in your breath. Connected directly to your vehicles ignition system, you are required to blow into the attached mouthpiece to test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC). If your alcohol concentration exceeds a specified legal level, the interlock device temporarily prevents your vehicle from starting.

How much does it cost?

Fees for interlock devices vary from state to state, but we strive to always provide affordable, transparent pricing that includes installation, reporting, maintenance, and service.

Installation

You can expect your first appointment to take anywhere from one to three hours depending on vehicle type. We'll go through a mechanical and electrical vehicle inspection, complete your interlock installation, complete the administrative paperwork, and provide interlock device training and troubleshooting. Plus, we will help you understand the state legal requirements for your program. Lastly, you will schedule your first monitoring check and calibration appointment.
